App Store Connect
App Store Connect: Invite User
Connecting with the App Store through the Invite User method enables review replies, ASO data, reports, and concern reporting while keeping access limited to the permissions you grant.
Overview
Connecting with the App Store via the Invite User method gives you access to Reply to Reviews, ASO data, and Report a Concern. We only access the permissions granted to us.
There are different types of access. We recommend a Full access connection when you need all available features.
To keep the connection secure and reliable, invite the appzilla subaccount to App Store Connect. This lets us access app data and send replies to the store, with access regulated by App Store Connect user permissions.
How to set up
You need to be an Admin or Account Owner in App Store Connect to invite users.
First-time connection
- In the Invite User connection flow, follow the Users and Access link to App Store Connect, then click Next.
- In App Store Connect, open Users and Access and click the blue plus button at the top of the user list.
-
Enter the invite details:
- First name: AppFollow
- Last name: Connect
- Email: use the email shown in the setup window
- Set the roles required for the features you need, then verify that the connection was established successfully.
Recommended roles
- Reviews access: Customer Support
- ASO access: Marketing, Sales, and Access to Reports
- Full access: Customer Support, Marketing, and Finance. Sales and Access to Reports should be selected automatically.
Share connection
Use this flow for apps within the same or a different workspace from the same developer account.
- In appzilla, click the Integrations icon in the left-hand panel.
- Open Source connections.
- Select your iOS or macOS app from the dropdown menu.
- Click Link account under App Store Connect - Invite user.
- If an invitation already exists for an app from the same developer account, click Copy connect to continue.
- The connection should be set up within a few seconds. If you see an error, contact support for help.
Connection types and permissions
Each App Store connection type requires a specific set of App Store Connect roles. For access to all appzilla features, set up a Full access connection.
Please provide the exact role set required for your connection type. If a role is missing, setup may not finish. Once you add an invitation, do not remove it unless you intend to revoke access.
F.A.Q.
How often are reviews collected from the App Store?
Reviews are collected four times a day without a connection and every hour with an active App Store connection.
Why are my replies not shown on the App Store?
Replies are moderated by the App Store. Moderation can take 24 to 48 hours, and in some cases up to five days.
Why are some reviews missing or delayed?
New app reviews are moderated before they become public. We collect reviews once they are moderated, even if the review date is earlier than the publication date.
Do I need to send a new invite for every app?
If all apps share the same App Store Connect account, you can use the Apple ID that is already invited. Make sure it has access to the new app.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter a problem with this connection, contact support and include the app, workspace, connection type, and any error message you see.
